The Unique Upcycling Lifestyle of UFC Fighter Bryce Mitchell

UFC featherweight contender Bryce Mitchell, also known as „Thug Nasty,“ is not your typical MMA fighter. When he’s not battling it out in the Octagon, Mitchell leads a unique lifestyle as a farmer in Arkansas. Embracing the concept of upcycling, Mitchell has found creative ways to repurpose an old MMA training cage at his home.

Rather than letting the old cage go to waste, Mitchell saw an opportunity to transform it into something useful. He converted the inside of the cage into a chicken coop, complete with nesting boxes, roosting bars, and a roof. Additionally, Mitchell utilized the space below the cage to create a pig pen. Through a post on Instagram, Mitchell shared a glimpse of his innovative project, showcasing the new living quarters for his livestock and giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how he tends to his chickens.

While Bryce Mitchell may be excelling in his farming endeavors, his recent performances inside the Octagon have not been as successful. In two of his last three fights, Mitchell suffered defeats, with his most recent loss coming in the form of a brutal first-round knockout at the hands of Josh Emmett at UFC 296 in December. Following this setback, Mitchell made the decision to take a six-month break from MMA to focus on recovery, spending time with his family, and working on his farm.

Despite the challenges he has faced in the UFC, Bryce Mitchell’s foray into upcycling and sustainable living showcases his resilience and creativity outside of the fighting arena. By embracing a different kind of fight on his farm, Mitchell demonstrates that fighters can also be multifaceted individuals with diverse interests and passions. As he works on nurturing his crops and tending to his animals, Mitchell continues to prove that true strength comes not only from physical prowess but also from adaptability and resourcefulness.
